Ardy Conway

Owner/Instructor

Ardy Conway opened her pilates studio in 2000 to fulfill her passion for fitness. A native of South Dakota, she grew up in an athletic family and has never looked back. Ardy holds a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. Prior to opening her studio, she spent over 20 years working in corporate fitness consulting, and personal fitness training. Ardy’s athletic background includes basketball, softball, track & field, and long distance running. She spent over 30 years as a serious distance runner pounding the pavement. The road was calling her name. Ardy was lead to pilates because of a back injury after competing in the Boston Marathon in 1996. She earned her Pilates Certification through the PhysicalMind Institute. In addition, she is a Pilates for Golf and Osteoporosis Specialist. Ardy has been a guest Pilates Instructor at the famous Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. She continues to study Pilates from leading world renowned Pilates Instructors. Now retired from serious running, she fuels her passion for running through riding her stand up bicycle the ElliptiGO , the closest thing to distance running without the impact. In 2015 she completed a 50 mile cycling event called Tour de Chutes, in Bend, Oregon on her ElliptiGO. The road is still calling her name.  Ardy is a Certified LifeStretch Instructor having trained at the Stretch to Win Institute with Ann and Chris Federick who developed Fascial Stretch Therapy .


Ardy is the Pilates Instructor to the CalPoly Women's Cross County and Track and Field Team in San Luis Obispo, CA. Ardy has designed and teach Pilates Mathwork specific to their sport of running. The goals of the team are improving core strength, pelvic stability, improve running posture and reduce foot injuries so common to the runner. In the spring of 2021, the Women's Track and Field team earned their first ever Big Ten Conference Championship. Go Mustangs!
